Directions of research

research and design of control systems with a complex hierarchical and multi-level structure. Extending the possibilities of using professional computer packages,
artificial intelligence methods in automation applications. Optimizing the working conditions of complex dynamic systems,
adaptive and predictive control. Methodology of creating algorithms and their implementation. Methods of implementing adaptive regulators with expert supervision,
solving optimization issues with the use of multiprocessor systems,
safety of measurement systems in explosive environments,
development of flow and capacity optimization algorithms in wide area networks,
designing devices, electronic circuits and microprocessor systems for the power industry,
software configuration of distributed measurement and control systems, implemented on the basis of programmable controllers and microprocessor-based multifunctional regulators and SCADA supervisory control systems,
development of flow and capacity optimization algorithms in wide area networks,
analysis and design of fiber-optic network structures for industrial measurement purposes,
development of eddy current conductometry methods in applications for researching the structure of materials and products,
developing specialized software for computer-aided teaching in automation, electronics, metrology and computer science.

The research is carried out in cooperation with the Institutes of Automation of the Silesian and Warsaw University of Technology; Energetyka in Warsaw; The Department of Automatic Control at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics and Electronics of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow; Department of Computer Science at the Faculty of Electronics, Wrocław University of Technology. In addition, there is foreign cooperation with the Fachhochschule Koblenz and Isny (Germany) and the Department of Automatic Control and Control Systems of the State Electrotechnical University in Saint-Petersburg.
